What you will learn
Textiles in Perspectives is an introductory module intended for those who are interested in academic enrichment in textiles, fashion, and the apparel industry. The module addresses the basic knowledge and understanding on the basic structures of textile materials and the critical performances of textile fabrics. The module also includes the study of personal, academic, and career success; careers in the textile, apparel and the fashion industry; factors influencing the merchandising and selection of fashion, textile, and apparel goods and their properties, design, and production; and consumer skills. The module is suitable for those planning a career in the retail merchandising, interior design, apparel and fabric design, entrepreneurship, or positions linked to the production and distribution of fibers, yarns and fabrics.
