What you will learn
Energy balance is important to learn the relationship between the calories you take in through food and drinks, and the calories you burn through physical activity and body basic functions (like breathing and digestion). When you consume too much energy and burn too little, your body stores that excess energy as body fat and lead to overweight. Being overweight increases your risk of getting diseases. In this Micro-credential course, learners will learn the relationship of energy balance including physical activity level for weight maintenance and quality of life. Information on reading food labelling to make a healthy food choices will also incorporated in this module.
