What you will learn

This module explains two of the most widely used decision techniques: decision tables and decision trees. These techniques are especially useful for decision making under uncertainty and decision making under risk. Decision analysis provides a framework and methodology for rational decision making when the outcomes are uncertain and risky. This module also discusses the practical application of decision analysis and summarizes a variety of applications that have been very beneficial to the organizations involved such as in research and development, plant and equipment, and even new buildings and structures can be analyzed with these decision models.
