COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Integration is a fundamental concept in calculus with numerous applications in various fields. In real life the applications of Integration can be seen in Physics,
Engineering, Medical, Finance and many more. In Physics, Integration is used to calculate displacement, velocity, and acceleration from functions describing the
motion of an object. Integration is also used to calculate work done by a force and the potential energy of a system. Hence, learning further about the applications of integration will help students to improve their learning and understanding especially for students in the science stream.
MICROLEARNING OUTCOMES:
At the end of this course, students should be able to:
1) Apply various integration techniques to solve fundamental and complex problems in physics.
2) Use integration to analyse and model real-world physical systems, such as calculating arc lengths, volumes, and charge distributions.
3) Demonstrate a deep understanding of the relationship between calculus and physics in solving problems related to the application of integration.
