What you will learn
Course Description: Upon completing this micro-credential module, learners will gain a comprehensive understanding of the principles, assessment techniques, and clinical interpretation of axial length measurements in ophthalmic practice. This course provides in-depth knowledge of the key methods used to measure axial length, including ultrasound biometry and optical biometry. Participants will explore the underlying scientific principles behind each method, learn to perform measurements using various instruments, and understand how to interpret findings to support clinical decision-making. Mode of Delivery: Online (self-paced with guided activities). Associated Course: None. Pre-requisite: General knowledge of ocular anatomy. Assessments/Grading: Learners must complete all four (4) activities and assessments to successfully finish the module and receive a UiTM Micro-Credential Certificate.
