What you will learn
This topic provides students/participants with a complete grasp of four (4) major neurotransmitters: Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin and Endorphins, as well as their critical functions in medical science and dental wellness. Students/participants will discover how their "4 Happy Chemicals" affect their biological function, mental and pain perception through an examination of biochemical pathways, with direct implications in medical and dental practice. The micro-credential course focuses on theory and a manifestation case study, as well as improving patient behaviour or care using scientifically based approaches. Students/participants will obtain basic and clinically relevant knowledge, increasing both individual or patient experience and treatment outcomes in medical sciences and dentistry.
