About this Module
What you will learn
For this MC, learners should be able to determine and distinguish between decimal, binary, octal, and hexadecimal number systems, as well as perform conversions from one system to another. They should also be able to add and subtract binary numbers following the rules of binary arithmetic, and express positive and negative integers using sign-magnitude, one complement, and two's complement representations, with emphasis on the efficiency of two's complement in simplifying operations. Finally, they should be able to identify, differentiate, and convert various coding schemes used in digital systems, reinforcing their understanding of how data is represented and manipulated in computing and electronics.
What skills you will gain
By mastering Number Systems, Binary Arithmetic, Signed Representations, and Digital Coding Schemes, students build foundational technical and problem-solving skills essential for computer science, software engineering, and electronics.
