About this Module
What you will learn
This micro-credential course provides learners with a fundamental understanding of Control Systems Engineering, focusing on the basic principles, terminology, components, configurations, and applications of control systems. The course introduces four key topics: Introduction to Control Systems Engineering, Basic Components in Control Systems, Classifications & Comparison of Control Systems, Open-Loop Control Systems, and Closed-Loop Control Systems. Throughout the course, learners will explore the fundamental structure and classifications of control systems, identify the functions of basic control system components, and understand the configurations and operating principles of open-loop and closed-loop systems. The course also enables learners to compare the advantages and limitations of both control system configurations and recognize their applications in engineering and everyday systems. To support effective online learning, the course incorporates two formative quizzes, with one quiz provided after every two topics. These quizzes are designed to assess learners’ understanding, reinforce key concepts, and provide opportunities for self-evaluation throughout the learning process.
