About this Course
Course Description
This course aims to expose students with advanced knowledge in building control. The course specifies the competency required to ensure the building plan approval process complies with the Uniform Building By Law 1984, relevant act and building standards. The knowledge gained will provide students to interpret and apply building control legislation in building control activities. It includes the evaluation and interpretation of building requirements according to the Uniform Building By Law criteria and strategies for compliances.
Course Learning Outcomes
1 ) Interpret the construction fault resulted from non-compliances of building legislation requirement and relevant Building Standard. ( A5 )
2 ) Explain the purpose of Building by Law, Building Act and relevant Building Standard (Malaysia Standard) that related in building control activities. ( C2 )
3 ) Evaluate the building plan submission according to the requirement of Uniform Building By Laws 1984, Street Drainage and Building Act 1976 (Act 133) and relevant Building Standard (Malaysia Standard) ( C5 )
