The basic requirement of a building as a whole in terms of human needs, consideration of
building processes in terms of legislation, selection of site, design and construction
requirements, site investigation and sitting of building.
Site Investigation
Introduction, types of site investigation; new works, defects, failures, safety and equipment used, methods of site investigations, appraisal of site conditions, elements and factors to be investigated.
Soil Investigation
Definition and objectives, extent of investigation, method used; in-situ ----testing of soil and lab test.
