About this Course
Course Description
This course provides and introduction to the field of business analytics, which has been defined as the extensive use of data i.e. statistical and quantitative analysis, descriptive and predictive and prescriptive models. The use of Excel and Tableau as an analytics tool to support business analytics is discussed. Moreover, the application of selected data mining techniques to business decision making situations is also illustrated. Financial modeling is the art of building a model using excel to depict financial statements and scenario analysis. It builds a structure that integrates various statements and schedules to enable decision-making. Students actively participate in the delivery of this course through case, problem-based learning and project presentations.
