This subject introduces the nature and magnitude of risk in life and the business environment. It also helps the students in becoming more familiar with the terms and usage of Insurance and Risk Management

1 ) Describe the nature, scope and the mode of operation of insurance
2 ) Use their knowledge towards the concepts of risk management in their field of study
3 ) Apply the insurance principles in analyzing and justifying the practice of insurance
4 ) Describe the statutory provisions relating to the supervision of insurers and intermediaries in Malaysia
