About this Course
Course Description
This course introduces the major classes of biochemical compounds such as carbohydrates, lipids, fatty acids, and proteins. For each biological class, basic structure(s) function(s) and metabolic processes are discussed.
Course Learning Outcomes
1 ) Identify the metabolic pathways and electron transport pathway of important biomolecules.
2 ) Describe the structure and function of biomolecules such as amino acids, proteins, carbohydrates and lipids.
