Course Description
The course focus on food supply, consumption patterns, source and metabolism of nutrients, their functions and requirements, tools in nutrition education and the health outcomes from excesses and lack of food/nutrients.
Course Learning Outcomes
1 ) Demonstrate entrepreneurial skills through business plan related to food and nutrition.
2 ) Describe the concepts of physiological requirements and functions of nutrients that are determinants of health and diseases in human population
3 ) Examine the problems and solution for an individual diet planning with reference to the Malaysian dietary guidelines
