About this Course

Course Description

This MOOC aims to introduce learners to the importance of research in nursing practice and the relationship between evidence-based practice (EBP) and patient quality/safety and professional growth as a developing Registered Nurse. Learners will be introduced to a systematic review process, EBP and develop an understanding of its relationship to research for understanding nursing phenomena. Learners will also have the opportunity to understand about the ethical conduct of healthcare research and how to write a winning research proposal.

1 ) Discuss the interrelationships among nursing research, theory and practice.
2 ) Describe the principles of evidence-based practice and its application to nursing practice.
3 ) Demonstrate autonomous learning through effective assignment and systematic review writing
