Course Description
This MOOC discusses on four (4) main topics pertaining to epigenetics which are definition of epigenetic factors, the types, mode of inheritance and their roles in health & diseases. These topics will be divided into 3 main sections and the 4th topic will be a summary of all 3 main sections. The types of epigenetics that will be covered are DNA methylation, histone modification and RNA-associated silencing which will be pertaining to their definition, function and their roles in health & diseases. The topics will be presented in video lectures and complemented by fun activities to enhance the participants understanding on the topic. Lastly participants’ understanding will be tested by assessments on each topic. This programme is a self-paced learning journey developed for undergraduate and post-graduate to have a better understanding on epigenetics.
