About this Course

Course Description

This course introduces the principles and practices of human resources management within an organization. It encompasses a comprehensive set of functions such as human resources planning, job analysis, the process of recruitment, screening, training, designing performance appraisals and compensation system. It also examines the human resources aspects of the Industrial Relations Acts 1967, and their relationship to sport and recreation organization.

Course Learning Outcomes

1 ) Demonstrate social skills and human resource management responsibilities in relation to existing policies and procedures in sports organizations. ( A3 )
2 ) Discuss the human resource management (HRM) processes, roles and functions in managing sport organization. ( C4 )
3 ) Analyze the effectiveness of various approaches for managing individuals in a sport or recreation setting. ( C4 )
