Course Description
Urban economics is the study of cities and regions, and the economic activities therein. As a discipline, urban economics lies at the intersection of geography and economics, introducing the role of space into economic considerations. Students will expose to the theories and economic concepts that affect one’s decisions in determining the use of land resources. It will also discuss the functions of a free market system and common urban problems
Course Learning Outcomes
1 ) Measure urban macroeconomics model used in urban economic analysis using the methods of appraisal
2 ) Associate the numeracy skills in synthesizing the physical, locational and institutional factors to determine the governor, supply and demand for land resources
