About this Course

This course is divided into 2 components: The first component will focus on freehand sketching using pencil and pen and basic model making to facilitate visualisation. The second component introduces technical drawing techniques using pencils and pens only in relation to the study of 3D models. This segment will also cover architectural draughtsmanship and presentation techniques.

Course Learning Outcomes

1) Display competency in using the technical equipment and mediums for architectural drawings and model making.
2) Demonstrate effective communication in architectural illustration.
3) Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration in preparation of architectural drawings and models.

Q1 : Are there any basic or specific requirements needed to be attained before enrolling this course?
A1 : There are no basic requirements needed before joining this course. This course is intended to provide basic skills in drawings catered for both design and non-design background.

Q2 : What will this course include?
A2 : This course encompasses of various topics on Design Drawing & Communication which includes five (5) Lesson Units. This will include; 1. Drawing Tools 2. Organic shapes 3. Geometric Shapes 4. Architectural Drawings & Conventions 5. Built Environment Each units includes lessons, informational texts, tasks and practicing exercises to carry out your step-step by project. A reading list of complimentary course references will also be included.

Q3 : When will the course start?
A3 : Since the course is entirely online, it starts when it is published. The recommended duration is six (6) weeks, with approximately two (2) weeks dedicated for each lesson unit. However, learners will be learning at their own pace between each milestone. learners may learn, understand and practice the course contents at their own pace.
