About this Course

This course deals with the introduction on the concept and nature of Shariah by understanding the definition of Shariah, sources and the historical development of Shariah. In addition, the course explains the characteristics and salient features of Shariah to fully understand the philosophy of Shariah. The course further deals with the concept of Maqasid of Shariah which is an important underlying principle of the Shariah. The course further explores the application, challenges and prospects of the implementation of Shariah in the contemporary world.
