About this Course
This course is an overview of information resources and the skills required to use them effectively. Through lectures, hands-on, assignments, and other methods, students learn how to use library resources, such as electronic indexes and databases, online services as well as develop strategies for conducting research.
Course Learning Outcomes
1) Describe the concept of information skills, theory of library classification, catalog in library and reference collections in preparing projects and reports.
2) Explain reference collection and steps in finding books, periodical articles, and online sources in preparing projects and reports.
3) Use citation of sources in library research to avoid plagiarism in academic writing.
