About this Course
This course discusses the importance of Internet as a medium for information dissemination. Students will gain understanding of the technology of the Internet and be able to use it effectively to communicate and to locate information on the Internet. Furthermore students will also be exposed with the value and ethics in using social media.
Course Learning Outcomes
1) Identify the various types of Internet sources and tools required to get connected to the Internet.
2) Apply the evaluation criteria of web sites for content, authority, accuracy, presentation, and usefulness as reference tools.
3) Explain the importance of values and ethics in using social media.
