About this Course

This subject will provide the students with an introduction to risk assessment (qualitative, semi-quantitative and quantitative), the different types of hazards and risks in the environment (residential and workplace settings) and the needs to manage the hazards and risks thus improving the quality of life. The emphasis will be on the current protocol of risk assessment. The laboratory portion will provide the students with the basic skills to evaluate risk using appropriate instrumentation.
