About this Course

SPEECH COMMUNICATION SKILLS course aims to assist learners to develop effective presentation skills with emphasis on oral communication theory and practice. It provides a basic understanding on the significance of oral communication as well as instruction and practice of public speaking in an online setting. While the theory may be similar to the traditional face-to-face public speaking courses, the practical application and speaking components, as well as some theory elements prepared will provide a basic understanding on the significance of oral communication practice of public speaking in an online setting. The modules created will be helpful for learners to learn how to organize a presentation, how to communicate clearly, and how to develop and enhance their public speaking styles. No matter what the subject, effective presentation skills training provided in this course will help learners to deliver their message with poise and power, and further develop these skills to help them transform ideas and visions into dynamic influential presentations. The course also focuses on enhancing learners’ ability to use the correct language for a presentation, and to exploit a variety of materials and sources to support their opinions. Learning takes place through a variety of activities, teaching modules, and links to useful websites and Youtube videos. This self-learning course is offered entirely online. The Modules are flexible and available throughout the year.There is no set time frame, so you can do the activities when it suits you best.
