About this Course

Solving environmental problem and disaster risk reduction initiatives requires integration of many disciplines including natural sciences, social sciences, economics and political analysis. This course is designed for students who will be writing their proposal for disaster risk reduction project. This course focus on parts that equips the students with tools, which they can utilize to conceptualize their project paper in terms of research questions and design, methodology and data collection and analysis. The course focuses more on the issues, problems, and strategies related to environmental phenomena. Discussions of case studies on specific environmental problems and proposed techniques of mitigation will be examined. Additionally, this course deals specifically on the methods of environmental assessment.
