About this Course

This course allows students to express personal ideas in order to develop aesthetic and innovative forms of animated work. The central focus of the course is through exploration of process and discovering new conceptual and stylistic means of creative ideas and technicalities. Through readings and exposure of experimental works, students are to choose any combination of cut-out animation, stop motion, pixilation, image & sound or computer-based form of experimentation for their experimental animation project. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Develop conceptual and aesthetic skills in producing an expressive experimental work of motion art. 2. Produce an animated experimental work within the context of the social and cultural element. 3. Adapt the characteristic, trends and developments in experimental animation. Students are required to complete this course in 14 weeks.
