About this Course

The Academic Writing course is designed to introduce the students to the practice of writing for academic purposes. The course aims to develop fundamental concepts of academic writing which include close reading for analyzing texts, critical thinking and questioning sources, reasoning with supporting evidences, organizing persuasive and well-structured arguments and communicating and justifying ideas in clear and effective academic writing style. The students will also learn how to apply APA style and format in their citation of sources.
