About this Course

The course aims to explore the contribution which law can make to the protection of the environment. It will critically examine the principles, structure and effectiveness of the legal system as it relates to environmental issues. The focus will not only be on specific substantive topics, such as pollution control and conservation, but also on broader conceptual issues, such as the `right? to a decent environment and morally good environmental law and policy. This course also promotes the development of critical thinking and problem solving skills as well as ethics, professional and social responsibilities in the area of environmental law.
