About this Course

This course introduces the students to the history of music in the Western world specifically music from the liturgical and secular type. The period encompasses from approximately the Classical period to the present day. Which means from 1650 until 1960. The students will be taught to understand the culture and evolution of the Western art music through works of composers represented in each time period which include the Classical, Romantic and 20th century.
