About this Course

This course enables students to appreciate and practice the various theories relevant to science teaching and learning, as evidenced by recent science education literature. Students are encouraged to translate the theories discussed in their teaching practices wherever and whenever appropriate. KSSR and KSSM science content provide a context for acquiring, developing, and practising the innovative science-classroom instructional skills created. Students will be aspired to be effective science facilitators in the cognitive, affective, and practical domains of science. Although this course specifically for pre-service teachers before they go for practicum session in schools or before posting, it will help other educators who would like to upgrade and upskill themselves on the learning theory and methods or teaching approach, particularly in teaching sciences.
