About this Course

In this course students are introduced to selected prose, produced by contemporary writers from Asia. The selection of texts comprises of short stories. This course serves to illustrate the intricacies and subtleties inherent in world literature. Emphasis is placed on the skills necessary for input which involves accurate comprehension and interpretation of texts as well as output which involves organizing and articulating responses to demonstrate understanding of literary elements and human concerns/issues inherent in the selected texts.
